Since we had such a positive response to ReuseConex2010 we have committed to doing it again! Be sure to save the dates for ReuseConex2012, 2nd national reuse conference & expo – October 2012. Mark your calendars now for this “fun and informative event”! And be on the lookout for the announcement of the host city.
ReuseConex2010, the 1st National Reuse Conference & Expo, is now complete. It was four days of learning, sharing, networking (and even some fun); and the feedback from this first-ever event was overwhelmingly positive!
We had over 200 conference attendees representing 3 countries and nearly 30 states, plus many more expo-only visitors. We would like to thank all of our Speakers, Moderators, Exhibitors/Sponsors, ReArt Exhibit participants, ReFashion Show co-producers, Reuse Tour Leaders, Conference Staff and Volunteers for their part in making this a truly worthwhile event.
We will be uploading the Conference Program, PowerPoints, and Attendee List to our website later next week (we’ll send out a notice); and we will also be sending out our RFP for ReuseConex2011 soon thereafter.
We encourage anyone who would like to engage in the Reuse Movement to do the following:
- Register for our listserve (open to all – http://groups.google.com/group/reuseconex)
- Sign up for our e-news (open to all – available on the front page of both RA & RC websites)
- Join Reuse Alliance (http://www.reusealliance.org/reuse-in-action/join)
- Consider organizing a chapter (http://www.reusealliance.org/reuse-in-action/organize)
Hey folks – we’re coming up to the two week mark. There has been some wonderful additions to our speakers list; so check it out at: http://reuseconex.org/schedule/speakers. And once you do, we are sure that you’ll agree with one of other attendees who said that they are “thrilled to be attending ReuseConex”, and another who said “you can’t beat the price for this top-quality program”. So, go ahead and register – you won’t regret it!
We look forward to seeing you at ReuseConex!
